How does ETHX Softcon implement Oracle Manufacturing Cloud and shop-floor execution (MES)?
ETHX Softcon implements Oracle Manufacturing Cloud for discrete and process manufacturing and complements it with the ETHX Manufacturing Portal, which gives operators, supervisors, and plant managers views for shop-floor execution, OEE, quality, and maintenance. The scope covers work orders, work definitions, dispatching, and completions; OEE, downtime, scrap, and yield tracking; inspection plans, non-conformance, and traceability; and preventive and corrective maintenance with MRO inventory.
Integration with PLCs, SCADA, barcode, and weighing equipment uses Oracle Integration Cloud adapters, OPC UA, and edge gateways. Delivery starts with a gemba walk on the shop floor, moves through design and build, and pilots on a single line or cell with real operators and supervisors before scaling plant by plant with training and adoption tracking. Shop-floor training is delivered in-plant, in-language, and in-shift rather than in the classroom only.
